The first ever inhabitants of Chalet du Pré used to dwell on the ground floor, which was a stable.
Cows, calves, pigs and mules were passing winter times under this warm shelter. The hay stock, just above the barn (current first and second floors) could feed them all until the first spring shoots.
The south-west wing of the building used to be a fermenting room. Part of the press is still existing near the outer terrace.
Only the appearance of the building has been kept as well as its volumes after refurbishment.
The Chalet du Pré has 3 apartments for rent at Valmorel les Avanchers, the closest French ski resort from Lyon and Paris, only 12 kms from Mountiers' TGV and Eurostar train station.

Outside this warm hearted and comfortable chalet combining charm and luxury, you will enjoy a solarium on the terrace, next to a huge vegetable garden along the stable. You will also appreciate the splendid panorama over the peaks of the Alps and the Tarentaise valley.
Nearby, you will find all your favourite winter or summer activities: alpine ski, cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, paragliding, canoeing, rafting, via Ferrata and climbing, hiking, mountain biking, quad trek and mountain horse riding.
For your own comfort we have arranged for you discounted prices with the local ski rental shop and ski boxes in the resort just by the slopes.
The Chalet, a blend of stones and wood, is part of a fully refurbished old barn.
Those 4 cosy, comfortable and warm hearted apartments have evocative names such as “Trèfle de Montagne”, “Cœur des Alpes” , "Carreaux Tarentais" and “Pic de Savoie”.
All are fully equipped with WIFI, cable and satellite TV. Coeur de Montagne has its own fire place and a 30 sq. m. terrace.
Everything has been thought to welcome your children (high chair and crib, toys, feeding bottle warmer, children DVD...)
Pets are also welcomed.
